homeSPAN Insulated
homeSPAN Insulated is a Prestressed flooring system designed for use at ground floor level.
Ground floors can be a significant source of heat loss as they are vulnerable to the risk of condensation at wall/floor junctions where heat loss is increased.
homeSPAN Insulated is a Prestressed flooring system designed for use at ground floor level in residential and commercial projects.
The inherent strength of the floor provides excellent spanning capabilities and in most situations will enable the building of internal blockwork walls.
homeSPAN insulated is available in two depths; 150mm and 200mm and insulation classes can be changed to meet your requirements.
homeSPAN insulated is an effective replacement for insitu concrete providing improved thermal resistance, reduced on site labour costs and no on site curing required; overall a faster build process.
Increased Insulation
homeSPAN insulated offers the ability to accommodate and increased thickness of insulation (100mm is supplied as standard) without affecting the finished floor levels.
Positioning the insulation below the slab increases the thermal mass of the building, the floor acts as a heat sink, as heat cannot escape through the bottom of the slab and the heat is therefore re-radiated into the building.
The governments published amendments to the building regulation for energy and fuel consumption requires all buildings to achieve specified energy efficiency targets. Compliance is mandatory and completion certificates are issued from building control only on achievement of the target.
