Precast Stairs
Creagh Concrete have been designing, manufacturing and installing precast stairs for the construction industry since 1998. Today the company manufacturers approximately 20,000 per annum.
Stair production falls into two main types of production – timber or steel moulds.
Creaghs flights and landings are produced to a high and repeatable standard of finish and dimensional accuracy. Installation of precast staircases is quick and clean with the added benefit that the units can be used as soon as they are installed.
Creaghs design team use CAD to rapidly generate full structural engineering drawings, showing all the salient details of the staircase. We produce staircase components to a variety of profiles and features, to meet the specific needs of each individual project.
Stair Finishes
There are 3 types of finishes available
Type A finish
The finish surface should be free from voids, honeycombing and other blemishes, small blemishes caused by entrapped air or water may be visible.
Type B finish
This finish can only be obtained by the use of high quality concrete and formwork. The concrete is thoroughly compacted and all surfaces are true with clean arises. Only very minor surface blemishes occur, with no staining or discolouration.
Type C finish
This finish is first obtained by first producing a type B finish. The surface is then improved by carefully removing all fins and other projections, thoroughly washing down, and then filling the most noticeable surface blemishes with a cement and fine aggregate paste to match the colour of the original concrete. After curing the face is rubbed down, where necessary , to produce a smooth and even surface.
