Planning Permission Granted
Creagh Concrete Products Ltd is pleased to confirm that it has received planning permission for the construction of 3 wind turbines with a collective potential output of 6MW at our Brackagh Quarry near Draperstown.
Seamus McKeague, Managing Director of Creagh, said:
“The planning permission granted is fantastic news. It ensures that the business has an opportunity to replace diesel generation on the site with electrical power from the grid as well as export of surplus electrical power to the grid. This allows Creagh to lower the carbon footprint of the business and provides an opportunity for the business to compete on a stronger footing. Our customers are focusing housing, carbon footprint and energy use throughout their supply chain and we can now meet these needs with confidence and optimism for the future. We are committed to developing a sustainable business and this renewable project helps secure employment and investment in the business.” Construction in the project is scheduled to begin in late 2011
