Installation

Installation of the precast units is efficient and engineered for simplicity. Units are site-drilled and fixed directly to a reinforced concrete foundation or floor slab using a chemically bonded resin anchor system, typically comprising threaded bar anchors set in epoxy or polyester resin. Once the anchors achieve full cure and torque-tightening is completed, no secondary restraint or fixings are required.

This system provides a structurally sound solution in applications where no primary steel framework is present, ensuring stability and load transfer through the foundation interface.

Lifting

Each retaining wall unit is cast with two lifting anchors incorporated into the side face. Lifting shall be carried out using certified Deha Clutches attached to these anchors, in conjunction with either a standard two-legged chain sling or a lifting beam approved for use under LOLER and BS 7121 requirements. The included angle between each chain leg and the horizontal plane of the unit shall not be less than 60° to maintain safe load distribution and minimise lateral stress on the anchors during lifting and handling operations.
