We are seeking a skilled and reliable maintenance fitter (qualified and trainee) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. You will work closely with other maintenance and production staff to support safe and efficient operations.
In this role the successful candidate will learn how to
- Refurbish production machinery
- Make general repairs to plant and machinery
- Operate welding equipment
- Operate plant and machinery
The trainee role will require no experience, just a willingness to learn and an interest in machinery.
The qualified role will need at least:
Trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Fitter
Proven experience in a similar maintenance role
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
